Cookie Policy

GAMES LAND LIMITED

Effective date: 2 July 2025

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how GAMES LAND LIMITED (“GLL”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the website https://akor-clash.com (the “Site”) and the browser-based game Akor Clash (together, the “Services”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

The Site was reviewed on 25 June 2025. At that time no third-party analytics tags or marketing pixels were detected – only first-party technical scripts were present . We nonetheless provide full transparency on all cookie categories that may be deployed as the Services evolve.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They let the site recognise your device and remember information such as preferences or login status. JavaScript storage, SDKs, and web beacons perform similar functions; we refer to all of them collectively as “cookies”.

3. Why we use cookies

We use cookies to:

  1. Provide core functionality – keep you logged in, balance server traffic, remember language settings.
  2. Measure performance – understand how visitors navigate pages and improve stability.
  3. Personalise experience – store interface preferences (e.g., sound volume in-game).
  4. Deliver marketing – show relevant updates or promotions if you consent.

No cookie is set for purposes 2–4 unless you grant consent through our Cookie-Consent Management Platform (“CMP”).

5. Detailed cookie list

The real-time list of cookies in use—including provider, purpose, duration, and type (first- or third-party)—is always available via the “Cookie Settings” link in the Site footer. The table updates automatically when we introduce, remove, or rename cookies.

6. Your choices

  • Granular consent: On your first visit we display a CMP banner. You can Accept All, Reject All, or Customise categories.
  • Change settings anytime: Click “Cookie Settings” in the footer or in-game settings to reopen the CMP.
  • Browser controls: Most browsers let you delete or block cookies. Doing so may impair core gameplay or login persistence.
  • Do Not Track: We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal by automatically opting you out of analytics and marketing cookies.

7. Legal basis & retention

  • Strictly necessary cookies – processed under legitimate interest (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), as the Services cannot operate without them.
  • All other cookies – processed only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
Retention periods are set per the table in § 4 or shorter if you withdraw consent or clear browser storage.

8. Third-country transfers

Where analytics or marketing providers are located outside the UK/EEA, we rely on the UK Addendum to EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision to safeguard the data.

9. Updates to this policy

We may revise this policy, for example when we add new features or providers. If the change is material we will notify you through the CMP banner or by in-game notice at least 14 days before new cookies are activated.
